Void Red’s inception goes back much further than 2022. The brand is the culmination of years of passion, starting in 2007 when Levi Ripley, Void Red’s founder, began working on clothing designs from his bedroom. Levi’s journey to founding Void Red is as unique as the brand itself. Raised in Essex, Levi grew up traveling around the UK as a new age traveller, living a non-traditional lifestyle that led to an unconventional education. He attended school late, struggled with dyslexia, and moved through almost 20 schools, feeling socially outcast and constantly searching for belonging.
But those early challenges didn’t diminish Levi’s burning passion to create. Whether it was taking things apart or reconstructing them, his curiosity and hands-on approach helped him find solace and expression through design. This path eventually led him to Falmouth University, where he honed his skills in fashion design. Void Red was always the dream: to craft something meaningful from nothing, infused with emotion, personal history, and a deep commitment to storytelling.
At Void Red, we set out to fill a gap in the market for garments that merge great craftsmanship with sustainability. We believe that high-quality, stylish clothing can also be made with respect for the planet, but we’re not here to preach. For us, sustainability isn’t a marketing ploy—it’s simply the standard. We use sustainable practices to create timeless, durable garments that will remain stylish for years to come.
